Probably not directly, but I can see several cases for it QA science:
"Evaluate the Slim Line PS2. Observe how the ribbon-wire connecting the laser to the main board can twist up, permanently damaging the disc with a deep concentric gouge. Also observe that any pressure on the lid results in similar, although less extensive, disc damage.
"Q1. If increased quality costs $X per unit and the rate of product returns is Y, what is the break-even point where profitability occurs?
"Q2. Based on your observations, how many months should the product warranty be? Justify.
"Q3. Based on the attached market research, determine that percentage of customers will complain. Provide the mode and variance of the probability.
