Please tell me some COMPLETELY FREE alternative to program like 3D Studio.I want to create meshes for DirectX.Thanks

I like blender (although compared to professional packages it lacks something here and there).

GMax used to be a basic version of 3D Studio max with all the advanced stuff riped out, god knows if it exports to x file, and if not god knows if it works with the panda exporter but it might be worth a shot.

Please show some initiative - such as using online search engines. That does not mean you cannot post here to ask for our input, but at least show that you've looked for and experimented with alternatives yourself...

This doesn't belong in DirectX so I'm moving it to 'Visual Arts'.
