Does anyone use this? If not then what is some good, easy and free software (or just good and free) that I could use for 3d images. Wings is good but I don't know how to incorporate it or let other people see it that don't have Wings...How can I get the thing that reads direct X files. If your going for completely free I would definitely suggest Blender. It's probably the best free 3d modeling software available at the moment. Also, Milkshape isn't free, but it's very cheap, like $30. So it's not un-affordable like others.

I've got blender. My Python won't work with it (Python is more advanced then Blender wants currently). If I just want to model, then will that effect my Blender? Should I downgrade Python to work or not? I don't want scripts in it...just Modeling and the ability to use on direct X or something

If you're not doing any scripting, then it shouldn't matter too much. (I'm not a Blender guy, so take that statement with a grain of salt.)

XSI's Mod Tool has grown by leaps and bounds with its latest release. I'd recommend taking a gander at that.

if i remember right python needs to be installed because blender uses it. and if what you say is true, then yeah, if you want to model... downgrade your python version to run blender. that is unless you need the higher version... but i assume you wouldn't be asking this question then.
