Steampunk Wheel Tank - WIP
Okay, im kitting out my portfolio, and this is my next project, a steampunk inspired wheel tank, of my own design. (not saying it hasn't been done before)
Texture Progress:
Wireframe Shot:
Its at 1465 tris, my target was for it to be under 1500 and to have smallish texture maps (512*)
Crits are welcome, texture is WIP, model is done.

I can see...i'd take a guess at 800-900 tris. Half of those 800 are the wheels. No idea where the rest 600 are.
Also, are you really sure you want those edges running that close together on the wheels and the central piece ? You did that with some purpose in mind ?

you can cut down 200 tris at least without losing any details in your silhouette. A good start would be to trim the rear curved pipes. It seems like they have 7-8 edges, you can get away with 5. I also agree with Karnot with the wheel's edges.
Also you can lose the chamfers on the panels, use a normal map to give those details instead.
Designwise, it looks pretty cool, although it might fall forward any moment :)
edit: your texture doesn't show up.
