Painter and Tiled Textures
Does Painter have any functionality for making tiled/repeating/seamless textures?
I picked up Painter X recently, and I'm still climbing the learning curve, but so far I have not seen anything that looks appropriate, and googling expected keywords and phrases is not turning up any hits.
- I don't know if Painter X has functionality to make seamless tiles.
If you want to tile a photograph of grass for example you can open it in Photoshop or Gimp and use the offset filter so that the edge of the image is now in the middle of the screen and then use clone/blur/smudge to make the seam invisible. Hopefully Painter X wil have some equivalent functions. There also exists a filter which slightly evens the contrast across the screen (I can't remember it's name but I'll post the name when I get home).
