Data on game business
Hi all, Do you guys have any good data sources on game business? I'm new to the area and studying a Entrepeneurship course at my college. The students with the best business plans will have the chance to be financed on their ideas, and I'd like to do something in the game area. Problem (or maybe it's not a problem at all) is that game industry in Brazil is not strong, but recently Microsoft (which I work on as a trainee) has been investing on this in my college through XNA. Thanks in advance, Carol

Hi, Carolina!
what kind of data do you need?
Basically, data that could help me analyze the game market evolution and recent changes with the introduction of the new consoles, how is the PC industry going, what types of games are up and which are down, and documented examples of successful and unsuccessful game companies that I could study.
Carolina, you need to focus your questions more narrowly.

And I agree with tsloper - you need to focus your questions more narrowly.
I guess tonnes of information that you are going to dig is more than enough for a small dissertation.;)

Carolina,
Useful game industry data is expensive. There are companies who supply data but it costs (see research companies). Best if you narrow things down and then you may be able to find public domain data that is useful.
