Currently I use Visio to diagram the game flow, but for some reason our vp prefers us to use something else. He mentioned Viz or Vis Master. I can't seem to find it on the net. Any help would be appreciated.
I searched wikipedia for some alternatives myself. Just search Visio and then go to the link near the bottom of the page for open source alternatives.

open office draw is probably the best free viso alternative
Gliffy is handy, especially if you just want to share a document with team members and all edit it.

Dia is pretty useful for what I do.

Just out of curiosity, why does it matter that your VP choose your design program for you? As long as the program outputs compatible-format files, it shouldn't matter.
That is a good question. I think it is mainly cost but I don't really know.

I use Visio on my personal laptop and had requested it or a comparable tool for our work machines. I tried Argo, Dia, and Open Office. I'll check out Gliffy though. Thanks.
