Can you use some of Microsoft's fonts in creating a game that you will sell? Can you use fonts like: Comic sans MS and Times New Roman? Thanks
if your targeting windows than probably since you usally don't actually include font file in your game but load it from the windows font repository at runtime

What about the font Serif which is contained within the JRE? Sorry I forgot to tell you that it is in Java. Also do most computer games that are sold create their own fonts?
Redhat have released the Liberation fonts recently. It is 3 fonts, which are close to the microsoft fonts, but there are free.

It is the equivalent for Time, Courrier, and Arial, but no Comics.

You're looking at a wanna-be right now :P
There are actually quite a few free fonts out there that you could probably use. Some of them don't have full character sets, but the free font websites are not a bad place to go.

I'm fond of Gentium as a font. But there are ton others that have licenses that let you throw them in a game with no restrictions or with credits.

As a side note: I like comic fonts. :P
