I'm considering installing 3DS Max on Vista 32-bit. I know there are various service packs and productivity extensions; I just don't know which I need and what order to install things. Anyone have the experience and know what mistakes not to make?

Oh, look. I already ruined it.

I downloaded the trial, installed it, then installed SP2. Now, for whatever reason, running the trial isn't an option. Grrrrr.

I just installed 3DS Max 9 on my Vista Business 32-bit machine and didn't have to install anything special at all. I just stuck the disc in and installed it.
