I use blender 2.44 (latest version) but its directx converter don't convert the textures. And most of the time the mesh comes wrong (Last time it came all red) Does anybody know any better directx converter for blender.
I'm not sure what you were trying, but the .X file you were probably generating never actually contains the raw texture data - just a filename/reference from which you can load it later. You have to manage connected assets (such as textures of FX files) yourself.

Have you tried using your converted data in an SDK sample or the "DX Viewer" tool? If not, make sure you do just so you can verify that your mesh loading code isn't the part at fault.

Also, the DirectX forum is more for questions with the actual API or technology in your application. I've moved it to the 'visual arts' forum where content creation questions are more appropriate.

If anyone could point me to a tutorial to create and export an animated mesh to the .x format, that would be great. All the animated meshes I make won't load properly into the model viewer.
