collision detection
I am coding engine now. And i need some help: i don''t know what type of collision detection is the best for games like carmageddon? And if someone know where i can find some source of engines, tutorials, documentation or have any ideas, please help me.
well, i have never actually programmed a 3d game (3d apps : yes)
but i think you could just do it like 2d by putting everything into squares and testing if they overlap. im not sure on 3d collision detection, because ive never had to do any. also ive seen that nehe.gamedev.net has tutorial on collsion detection. hope that helped.
