3D Modeller Question
Out of Cinema4D,Maya,and Softimage which do you thing is the best.
I just want your opinion.
Please tell me why you think one is better than the other.
If you want an answer specifically between those three, I'd say XSI, only because I've never worked with Cinema4D and when I tried learning Maya it seemed unnecessarily vague in it's interface. (Things might have changed since 2003) XSI just made the most direct sense to me (and I believe for animation's sake it works in quaternion rotation, so to avoid gimbal lock. However, this might again be a dated selling point if everyone's implemented support for this)
In the end, though, it will all boil down to what you work with best. They all produce the same result: 3d models based on your skill as an artist. You can make the exact same game asset in 7 different programs, and when you port it into the game engine, no one would be able to tell the difference.
