Light maps and 3D Studio Max
Hi all,
I have created a basic level for my first 3D game using 3D Studio Max. I have fully textured the level and exported as a .x file using the panda exporter plug-in. This works great.
I then decided I wanted to add light maps. Generating these light maps was easy in 3dsmax using its Render to texture (texture baking) feature. Max also enables the same object to have two sets of mapping coordinates, one for the normal texture, and one for the baked texture.
My question is this....how can i export a .x file with both the standard texture + lightmap texture information??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm going to push this over to VA - reads to me like you have a problem with your tools rather than the D3D technology. The DX forum is more for programming and design issues relating to the API rather than the (art) tools used to create the content...
X files aren't the easiest format to work with, but they shouldn't have any problem representing the vertex structure you describe. Maybe consider using a different exporter/convertor?
