Hi, i need a image editing application that can handle a 80000 x 40000 pixel (= 10 GB!) image. Photoshp 7.0 has a maximum size of 30000 x 30000 pixels (maybe newer versions have other limits).

photoshop cs2 allows this, i just created a document that is 80,000x40,000 and painted a bit.
but may i ask waht you need this for? problem is, by how the technology of raster images work you will be working with nearly 8 gigs of data stored in your page file and ram... resulting in too slow editing (and more thna likely frequent crashes) to be practical.
if you're doing this for a logo or something use flash or illustrator or soem other vector based drawing app to allow it to be zoomed to any size.

Are you trying to put in MegaTextures for the Doom3 mod?

I am SURE their artists are not editing the textures the traditional way.

Thanks for help! I guessed some of you think about id MegaTexture :) but I need the image for geographical earth animations, not for game dev.
