Do you know of any game awards for shareware games one could apply to?

The Independant Game Developer Awards at the Game Developer''s Conference. They choose 10 of the best submissions.

Well, the IGF isn''t necessarily Shareware. It''s a showcase for games that don''t have *publishers*. The company I work for had an entry, which I thought was a little silly because we have investors funding our activities, but technical we have no "publisher". A couple other entries definitely fit this category also -- including the winner I think. But hey... it''s a good game.

Some magazines still do "Shareware Game of the Year" or something similar.

For the most part, the way you "apply" for a shareware award, game or otherwise, is by having your software listed on the web page giving the award.
