Hi, I was working around on bitmaps on linux trying to compile a program to come under 1-2byte boundaries and it was impressive when I came across the bitmap command. When I did a whereis, I found it installed in /usr/X11R6/bin/ Although presently it looks as though it only supports greyscale, it was still very impressive and surprising to see it there. I was wondering if anyone has heard of it, probably many of you have and is it worth using it. At present I am just starting to play with it. Thank you.

Hmm.. that''s a nice little program. It''s quite surprising that their are so little KISS bitmap programs out there. I mean, you don''t need Gimp to draw a line in a bitmap. Actually, drawing a simple line with Gimp can become extremely difficult, because the program''s too "good"
