I would like to record some noises/sounds/acoustic guitar samples for my game. What microphone should I choose? Those are microphones I can afford (I would prefer second one to the first price wise): http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemPos=0&TempID=1&DepartmentID=6&STRID=102632&CategorySubID=320&CategoryID=320&BrandID=0&CategorySubPriceRangeID=0&pagesize=10&Method=3&PriceRangeID=0&SortMethod=&SearchPhrase=&Contains=&Search_Type=Department&GroupCode=&categorysubsearch=true http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemPos=3&TempID=4&DepartmentID=6&STRID=10290&CategorySubID=1168&CategoryID=1168&BrandID=0&CategorySubPriceRangeID=0&pagesize=10&Method=3&PriceRangeID=0&SortMethod=&SearchPhrase=&Contains=&Search_Type=Department&GroupCode=&categorysubsearch=true Do you think those are good enough for SFX recording (various noises, voice, samples from acoustic guitar, etc.). I am actually interested in second mic because of $$ ;) Thanks.

you need a phantom powered wide diaphram condenser mic and a preamp, you can get them for about 200bucks easily.

Those links dont work for me so i cant tell you if the mics are any good.

You don't need a large diaphragm condenser microphone, there are loads of great dynamic and small diaphragm condenser mics for recording SFX and music.

What is your budget?
