Flexible audio library for Linux
Hi,
I'm looking for an audio library for Linux capable to:
1) Play different audio formats (wav, ogg and mp3).
2) Mix sounds, that is, play multiple sounds at same time.
3) Record from multiple devices at same time.
In true, I would like to find an audio library similar to BASS, but for Linux.
Please, does anyone know one with these features?
Thanks in advance
Take a look at FmodEx. It's a cross-platform, feature-rich sound library.
It's free for freeware projects or $100 per platform for shareware/hobbyist projects. You don't get the source code unless you buy a full commercial license, but it's a serious, well-supported library.

Thank you very much, nagromo. FmodEx seems very good!
I actually just heard of IrrKlang. The Mac support seems nonexistant, though, and I'm not sure it has recording support.
I've been experimenting with Gstreamer. I like it a lot.
