Wow thats great work. i really liked the start of the music. you are realy good at this. but to me the playback of music after 2.00 minutes was not that good. it certainly has a lot of scope to improve. i think the drums in the background are not that good or you should give flutes one or more try.
waiting for ur next finished version.... can i use it for my work. ;)

Thanks for the feedback. Yea i agree the drums are not really suitable, a few people have said so. Er, im not sure if i can let you use it because im using it for something else ;P , sry =). Yea, the flutes will definitely come in again, currently expanding it by alot =). The pipe thing was kinda improvisational .
I like it, but as you said, the drums (in current state) are a bit to much. But (at least to me) has a native american feel to it and steady drum in the background could round it that direction.
Thanks for the feedback, will work on the drums ! :) steady drums? hmm... still not very sure how to go about re-doing the drums lol... is it the drum beat that doesn't suit this song?

Native American probably wasn't the best example. By steady, I mean that it is a background/support role and not trying to compete when another instrument (group) is doing something interesting. If the drums are going to do something special, then they can do it while the others are in the support roll. The only song that I come up with off the top of my head is "In The Air Tonight" Phil Collins, which isn't a great example since the drums are very strong presences in the song, but they support the vocals and give a steady feel to the song.
(I hope that makes some sort of sence, it's late and I'm tired [wink])
Awesome stuff.
I would probably kill the drums all together. I think it would stand up and hold its own without them.
Would be a great tune for an RPG! :)

Hello Teraslasch from SquareEnixMusic.com! ;) I really dig the vibes of the flute but agree with initial comments about the positioning of the drums in the mix. A bit too prominent. To me, the flute really loses its lustre when the drum comes in though the flute sounds really nice when the strings are combined with it. I would drop the drums in the mix by dropping the eq levels a bit. Other than that, the piece has a nice drive to it and I think is definitely going somewhere. The pacing is good...are you a drummer? Some of those drum skills are quite tight! Something about this piece sounds even a bit celtic in demeanor...do I hear a bit of Yasunori Mitsuda influence in there?
Crits: The fadeout isn't working for me at all. For an orchestral piece of this nature (though I realize this is a W I P and probably has additional developments in the works) I would prefer a bit of a buildup before exiting. Thats just me though. Do what feels natural!
Like it man!
Peace
