Skeletal Animation Program
Hi all.
I''ve decided to start a new project that *shock horror* ISN''T a 3d engine - indoors/outdoors or other.
What I''m making is a skeletal animation editor.
What I''m wondering is what kind of data people want on the other end - quarternions, raw Roll/Pitch/Yaw, keyframes, etc etc...
Any suggestions?
(And yes, I have thought of making an exporter for character studio, but where''s the fun in that?!)
And to anyone in Australia tonight - How good was Angel!!

I like MS3D, but think the keyframe editor sux.
A dedicated keyframe editor that loads a model from a program and then lets you create a number of animations, each with a set of keyframes, outputting them to a since animation file would be awesome, and probably not extremely difficult.
Feel free to use my model/skeletal animation tutorials to load up some MS3D models and then put that in an MFC window and get some keyframe editing happening!
Good luck, be sure to let me know (perhaps post news at http://rsn.gamedev.net)

hello, if you want your program will be good , add option to import 3ds,dxf files to EACH FRAME. ( unlike milkshape which allows you to import files but not for each frame ) the program you can learn the idea from is quake moddeler (very good for quake models!)
thats all, have a good programming, and waitting fro the first program.

We want to work on a editor to make models with a skeleton. This models do we load in our engine. We want to import 3ds files and then, we build a skeleton in it.
Thars not so hard I think. I hope ya release some code! )
But I wish ya good look!
