I've been searching around for a template of a license that states something to the effect of "free for personal and non-profit usage, commercial usage may purchase a re-distribution license". Can anyone suggest a good source for this type of thing? I did search the forums, but got tired after 3-4 pages of results that just didn't fit what I need. BTW: If it makes a difference this is for a game engine. The demo games will need another license I believe (maybe LGPL?) Thanks, - Jeremy

You will need two licenses. One for the free use and one that you purchase.

It sounds like you are describing the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives license for your free version. They have a tool to help you choose any of their lawyer-reviewed licenses at http://creativecommons.org/license/
