Blender texture problem

Greetings, I just modeled half of a model in Blender and textured it ala UV mapping. I am now trying to duplicate that half and then mirror/flip in on its axis so the model is symmetrical. This works, except the texture stays on the same side: it doesn't flip to the outside. Is there an easy way to get around this? Thanks
In edit mode, select that portion of the model and hit W-KEY > Flip Normals.

If, however, you are intending on stitching your two halves up to be one contiguous shell of a model, then at the end, select all and hit ctrl-n to "recalculate normals outside".

Either of those should get you where you want.

Here is the Old School Way to mirror model in Blender (before they added the mirror modifier).
