Interview Report
Well, as it turns out, dress code seems to have been the least of my concerns. It seems to have gone fairly well. It was definitely a lot of work, though. The majority of the day was spent solving sample problems with resident programmers observing, commenting, and correcting along the way. Certainly a bit stressful to be sitting there coding with a two people watching--one of whom already knows the solution, the other who is good enough at what he does to see the solution fairly quickly. I will say, however, it's probably a very effective way to interview, since you get to see how the applicant codes under pressure as well as how well they can take advice regarding their work.
I'll hear back soon, and I'm looking forward to it.

Nice job distortion, Volition is known for their long and intense interviewing process. I must have been there just a week or two before you. I probably shouldn't say this but...here it goes anyway.
They extented me an offer as well, it was a hard choice to make but I ended up turning them down and accepting another. I'm VERY, VERY glad to hear that the position went to another kid, just like me, trying to break into the industry.
Here's to the start of what will surely be a good thing.
