I've been scouring google/gamedev but to no avail. I am looking for programs that might produce something similar to this: Preferably free though :(. Making trees in photoshop/illustrator is a pain. Thanks ahead if anyone has any such program ;)

If you don't get any responses for 'specific' programs that generate then you could try World Creator and this tutorial for a basis.

Bryce 5 - for free

It's been years since I've used Bryce, but I'm pretty sure it does tree generation. It may be overkill for your needs, and I recall the interface being a bit quirky, but I doubt you'll find anything better for free.

The freebie offer expires on September 6th, apparently, so be sure to download & register it soon if you want it.

Edit: I took my own advice. There are a couple hoops to jump through to get it running, and the interface is indeed quirky, but you can definitely generate the kind of trees you're looking for.
