I'm curious if anyone here is a member of GANG, IGDA, or any other similar groups, and if you've found them to be directly or indirectly helpful. Have they helped with networking, education, etc.? They aren't insanely expensive, but the costs aren't trivial either, and I imagine other folks on the board would be interested, too. Thanks!

I am a member of GANG and IDGA.

Both only work as well as what you put into them. That being said, being a memeber of GANG has been helpful, as there are a TON of knowledgeable people, (mostly composers), and I was able to hang out with a lot of them at the GDC, and most of them are pretty cool people.
