owl and frob are posting about the GPL, which is NOT a non-commercial license and doesn't enter into the OP's original question (you can change $50,000 for a copy of linux, you just have to give the purchaser the source code and they automatically get the rights to whatever they want (within GPL restrictions) with their copy afterward, such as mass-produce it and resell it).
