Antisheep, sorry. I am going to bombard you with a few questions because I really like what you did with EASTWEST...what kind of OS machine do you have? How many instruments can you load with Silver and do you ever run into any CPU strain while loading all the members of the Silver Orchestra onto your harddrive?
also more questions if you dont mind : ) I just got the original plus the expansion. DO you know how to succesfully install both the manual isnt much help. Also how would you set up something like two violins a viola a cello and a double bass...3 of the 4 instruments are multis and you can only load one multi at a time...am I to understand it is impossible to essemble a standard string quartet (well with a double bass thrown in)

Well, I really have very little experience with the software. =X

Rain 7: I'm running EWQLSO through FL Studio (as a VST plugin obviously) under Windows XP with a Pentium4 2.4ghz, 1 GB ram, and a cheap SB Live! 24-bit sound card. Of course, it sounds great, runs fine. The only problem I foresee having is memory issues.

You see, a single articulation for an instrument can take up 25+MB of memory. Just for the few articulations used on my 'test drive', the task manager reported FL Studio as using something like 450MB of memory. That's half of my resources for nowhere near a full orchestral piece. I do imagine that 2GB would easily be enough, but I just don't see 1GB being able to cut it. Time for an upgrade...

JimWelch: Of course they have stacatto strings. Are you kidding? This is EWQLSO we're talking about! =) And I would try installing the original first, and then XP Pro. (uninstall them to try this)

I haven't figured out the 'multis' thing as of yet, however I would say it should work just fine to load each articulation in a separate instance of Reaktor. (the EWQLSO VST) Though I'm sure multis can make it a lot easier...now to actually learn how to use them...=P

I looked for violin sticcato and didnt see it....are you loading it via a multi? I assume not yet since you mentioned not using the multis yet. But yeah I didnt see one...maybe you have to created sticcato through the complicated keyswitches that I've yet to spend the time to figure out...I wish this one was as simple as the edirol one...but since it has a better sound I'll just have to spend the time to get the hang of it.
