Idea: Open Arcade Community
Open Arcade Community is a 2D Isometric game(similar looks to the classic Roller Coaster Tycoon game). You are a "peep" in a world called Arcadia. You start out with some money to spend in the local Arcade. You get money by reaching a certant level or by getting certant score in the arcade. With that money gives you different things to buy. Gaming Machines This is anything from Game & Watch type devices, to Game Boys, home consoles, and Arcade machines. Each system has certant games that can be played on it and can't be played on it. Rooms Each player starts out with a small room which can be upgraded to be bigger. The room can be filled with furniture of different types. You can also buy new games. The means of transportation is mostly walking around. To get to your room or your friends room requiers you to go to the Arcadia Hotel and talk to the clerk which will teleport you to the approrpiate room. The open part of the game is the community will be able to script their own games, which will be submitted and if they are of quality then they will be put into the game. Also, paper dolling might be featured in this game as a later feature. What do you think of this idea. What could make it better, and would you play it?

I don't have an addition to your idea, but rather an interpretation of what you said that might be different than what you meant.
You start out with a small room, you can only put so many machines in it. Furthermore, you can't play a machine that you can't get to, so your room must be designed efficiently and not overcrowded. Somewhere in here you also have human-to-human interaction.
Sounds like something I might play for a while, but you should work on expanding the idea. I just don't usually go for those online-pseudo-reality things, but a lot of people might like it.
