So, I'm trying to get a transparent colour for my .png files and I'm told I set that colour myself. I use Adobe PhotoShop 7.0 and I can't figure out how. I wanna make RGB 255, 0, 255 (pink I think thats the RGB) as my transparent color in backgrounds. But cannot for the life of me find out how to do it. Now, do I need to set that RBG value in Java.... or....? If you graphic gurus can help, that'd be great! TroubledSoul
Things like that are alot easier to do in Imageready (go to File->Edit in Imageready). Reset your Workspace, and the options should be in one of the default palettes. Go to 2-Up mode and see the difference.

PNG does not use color keys. PNG does have a full alpha channel though. To convert from color key to alpha, select all pixels of the color key's color and make them transparent. If you must use color keys, the support with be in the application, not PNG anyway.
