Anything is possible. But "can I" is not as good a question as "how can I." (Article 50 on my site - see sig.)

There are game companies in Russia. You need to find them. And get involved in making mods.

>Well. I am ready to relocate in USA, if it will be required.

It won't be. Get work in Russia or a nearby country like Poland. http://www.sloperama.com/OEMC/stettin.htm

Yes. You can prepare now by making mods, making demos. You have time to research the location of nearby game companies. Read also article 41 on my site - it discusses switching your career into games from another career. http://www.sloperama.com/advice/lesson41.htm

>Now, you may throw the stones on me :)

Not necessary. Good luck.

Thanks, Tom!
I am very appreciate for your answer!

Well, I was thinking about GD career in Russia... But, psychologically, I want to relocate from here... And it would be better - if my future destination will be in America :)

Thank you very much for links! I am already reading them :)

First things first. You have programming experience, now you need to use that to get into the game industry and get some game credits. THEN you can try to go to another country. I recommend trying Europe first, maybe a company that also has offices in America...

Хорошее везение!

This is a wise piece of advise! Thanks again, Tom!
I'd better to stay here.. for minimum one year :)

I've just decided to re-make one game ;) This will improve my skills and give me more chances to relocate in future :)
Would you consider relocating to Slovakia (border country with Ukraina) to get a job as a game programmer (in my small company) ? I could arrange the Visas if your experience with games was good enough.
