What is faster ...?
I''m making a 2d tile engine for use with OpenGL. I was wondering what is faster, glDrawPixels, or using textured quads?
Textured Quads are a lot faster. I am getting up to 222fps from my OpenGL isometric engine. That is with v-sync off, the tiles being sorted for the least number of texture changes, and display lists.
