Where are the start, kill scripts in linux(Zenwalk)?
Hi, I'm using zenwalk and I can't find where the start and kill scripts are stored.
So far ive got a /etc/rc.d/ folder, which has scripts like:
rc.cups
rc.sshd
...which have the usual start, stop, restart, * parts.
But I don't know where these are being called from.
eg on my Solaris computer theres folders like:
/etc/rc.d/rc1/S20SomeProg which is a link to /etc/init.d/SomeProg (that contains the start, stop, etc).
I'm not sure if Zenwalk is the same as all linuxes, but how do I make my scripts in /etc/rc.d/ folder get called at different levels(eg rc1, rc3 etc).
Do I make links somewhere like in Solaris?
btw I know you can put start scripts inside the script /etc/rc.d/rc.local, but where can I put the kill script, and the level it is to be run at?
Thanks
