Boeing 737 - Cinema 4D - Nose trouble
First post in the VA Forum, take it easy on me :P...I know this probably belongs in a different webforum altogether, but I trust the Gamedev.net crowd :) I'm modelling a Boeing 737 NG (700/800/900) in Cinema 4D. This is a rough model (it's my first time modelling a plane), so it doesn't exactly look production perfect. However, I'm having a lot of trouble even getting a rough approximation of a nose cone and tail cone. I'm using Loft NURBS for the fuselage/wings/stabilizers. Pics: Thanks for any help you can give! Can you post your reference photos, and a NURBS wireframe? It'd help me give good feedback beyond 'it looks wrong.' I've never used NURBS in C4D (only in Maya) so I can't tell you much technical advice, because NURBS can be very picky and technical.

Sorry, I'll do so ASAP...I'm at uni, which means I have to be on a school computer to use Cinema4D, and I've got plans for tonight...I'll try to post it tomorrow. I agree, NURBS are finnicky. The reference photos aren't very good, they're in a CAD file from Boeing...when I have access to a school computer I'll post those too :).
Thanks for your help,

You should be able to convert the DWG to splines/nurbs. If C4D can't import DWG files, I know 3ds can. Are the splines in the CAD file in 3D space or just orthagonal 2D drawings? Even if you can't import, you can still measure any points on the CAD splines and translate it to your model.
