Music Maker 10 deLuxe woes
Hey!
I've browsed your site for a few months now and finally decided to open an account and start posting. This may belong in the Music forum, but I don't want to bother them with a question that has an obvious answer, so I made use of this beautiful forum. My question is thus:
I am on a tight tight, unimaginably tight budget. A few months ago I bought Magix Music Maker 10 deLuxe, and while some of it is great and easy to use, I've increasingly felt the need for orchestral stuff, which it is severely lacking in. Is there a free orchestral VSTi plugin I could use, and if not, is there any way I could use SF2 files with it? It seems to not like those, so is there an emulator or a conversion or something I could use?
Thank you, whoever reads this far. I very much appreciate any advice you can give me.
This definitelly belongs to the music forum - and maybe the one that will be able to answer your question don't even look at the beginner's forum :) Ask a moderator to move the thread into the correct forum (dont just cross-post).

Moving to Music and Sound forum.
If that program can take soundfonts, then Sinfonia is quite nice for free. I think many people in the Music forum tend to use professional solutions like Garritan Personal Orchestra but I too would be interested to hear of any free alternatives.

I can definetely say, search for a soundfont playing plugin, if the program can't just directly load sf files anyway. FL Studio has a wrapper to load them.
Once you search and find that, then simply search for good orchestral soundfonts. There are many nice sounding free ones, along with GPO. You can make almost anything sound good with some good mastering. Beware though, I've used GPO for a while now, and it's not so simple to get right. There are certain techniques you need to ascertain to make anything sound cool.
General advice though, FL Studio is awesome.
