Definitely "Game Music." This would work well in a boss fight. At any rate, genre isn't that important, as long as you can create quality music.
Another mastering trick is to assign panning positions to each instrument--if all the sounds are panned to the center, it's gets really muddy and hard to differentiate between sounds. I hate to use this as an example, but Enya's music makes incredibly good use of this principle--it may be cheesy, but the mastering is crystal clear, and much of it is due to the effective use of panning.
Finally, "Fun with minor chords" seems an inappropriate title for a piece whose majority of chords are major. VI, V7, and the IV chord mode mixture you use are all major; in fact, the "i" chord is the only minor one in the piece that I could detect from a cursory skim through :) "Fun with minor mode" might be more appropriate.
I know, I'm a complete nerd. Quit laughing or I'll cut you. With a herring.
I don't even know what to classify this as...
Haha. Awesome
As far as being able to tell what type of chord is what...
I've had one semester of high school band... in the PERCUSSION section (lol!). Everything that I've learned about music, I learned by listening to songs that I like. I know nothing of music theory, and I can't even read sheet music. I can play a little music on the piano, but only BY EAR.
I'd say that these songs really aren't too bad for somoene who has been taught nothing. Everything I make was made in the back of my mind, and translated by ear into Fruity Loops. I'm rather proud of that ;-)

hehe, it's ok, you did fine--I was just messing around. I actually do like it for what it is, and no mistake about that--it'd seriously be great RPG music. Just a little bit of a hard time :) I started writing music about then too (except I was in choir), and it's taken me a long time to get to where I am now, which is comfortable in my abilities and technology. It's a good start, believe me. Keep it up!
Nah I didn't take it as an insult -- I was just throwing it out there lol
Thanks for the kind words, man! I've not thrown my stuff out there for public review before now ;-)
