mesh to heightmap
Hi, I modelled a terrain in 3ds Max. I would like to convert the mesh into a greyscale heightmap and import it in my 3d engine just to see how it looks compared to the mesh itself (I need detail). I would think that the heightmap option in render to texture in 3ds max should create the heightmap but all it returns is a black image. Someone knows if it is possible to convert a mesh into a greyscale heightmap in 3ds max and if not, if there is a tool that can do this? Thanks, Raoul
