Anyone know a good IRC client? I remeber using GAIM a while ago, but I was wondering if there is any other clients suited for IRC channels
xchat is really good.

Nice, thanks ^^
Many people like irssi.
I used to use mIRC faithfully, until I came across XChat. I too recommend it since it's available on many platforms :)
Depends on what platform you are looking for a IRC client.

OSX has colloquy, ircle, snak, Xirc
X11 has xchat, ksirc, konversation, kvirc
Text based ones are bitchx, epic, ircii, irssi, sirc

Theres obviously many more, but those seem to be the popular ones.

Some nice ones here.
I am on a very simplistic debian. No gnome, no kde (as long as I can avoid them)
so xchat it is ^^

I might just install irssi too, since BitchX was a bit cumbersome, and I need a text based one just in case.

Thanks
Irssi is probably the best.
I prefer x-chat. [smile] It's simple and clean, the way it should be.

Assuming you are on firefox(which you probably are), I use the extension ChatZilla.
I program in my sleep, but when I sleep I use the partition in my head that doesnt have g++ or the .net library, so im kinda screwed.
