Finishing Games
When i get stuck or when I reach a plateau where I don't seem to progress much more, that's when the game stops getting played lots. However, when I get a new game I have every intention of playing it until the end is reached.

Paper Mario: Thousand year door is a strange scenario. I enjoyed the game until I got stuck, simply not knowing where to go, or what to do next, but I do not like using walkthroughs so I just stopped playing it (I am most probably unique to this point).
Sometimes even using a walkthrough doesn't help. This is why I've never finished ChronoCross - I got to a part where I didn't know what to do next. The walkthrough said, go to this cave, and you'll se an X here. I went to the cave - no X. I tried working back through the walkthrough to figure out what I had missed, but never did manage to puzzle out exactly what went wrong.
I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.
