My name is Rick Balentine, and I have been a composer for many years, as well as a record producer, commercial music composer. I have worked on everything from Rap to orchestra, country, R&B, etc. I own my own working thriving busy recording studio and work in 2.1 and 5.1.I am becoming a gamer and I have always been interested in scoring for games, the darker, more intense the better. If you are still in need of a composer, I would like to speak with you. Please, I don't have time for projects that are going nowhere, I am a very busy composer, but I want to start writing scores for great games. You can check out some of my commercial stuff at www.scorela.com Also, I have put a few audio demos up. The orchestration was done by members of the San Francisco Orchestra, and recorded at Skywalker Ranch. The others were for various car commercials and other spots. You can find them here: http://www.scorela.com/Audio_Only_Demos.html Thank you, Rick Balentine www.scorela.com spam@scorela.com

I think he used a real brass ensemble...
On the orchestrations, those are members of the San Francisco Orchestra at Skywalker Ranch. When orchestrating without a 50k to 100k budget, I am using a HUGE amount of sounds, with 3 P4 3.6 PC's tied together through digital audio ins/outs. I am running Cubase, Acid, Vegas, V-Stack, Various NI instruments, plug-in's for days, etc. I would be happy to be more specific if you would like more info, but thank you very much for the compliment. Looking forward to using all this firepower on a really great game!

bassman, i suggest u send in ur resume to bigger game companies, they will probably give you what you are looking for.
Heh. Flamingboi has a point - most of us here are hobbiests without the budgets to afford your level of expertise. There are a few "real" developers who read this forum though, so the advertising effort may not be wasted. Good luck to you and have fun!
