I believe in the opposite method though. Entertainment should provide the audience with everything in front of them. Once you make them work, then it ruins suspended disbelief. I don't know of a better term for music, but thats how I would describe it. I like to bombard the audience with a total sensory overload...just imagine michael bay's approach to movies and apply it to music.

Maybe you're refering to something else though. If I missed something, then please do clarify.

Don't get me wrong, I love that style! Thats one of the reasons why I enjoy the old Nes classics so much.

I don't think it's fair to say that adding subtlety to a piece of music is going to damage any potential connection between listener and musician. If anything, subtlety makes repeated listenings more rewarding by adding small nuances that might not have been noticeable the first time through. Still, that might not have been the intent of this piece and for what its worth, I really enjoyed listening.

Ahh now I understand. So you're just concerned that it might be too heavy. I know where you going with that now. I'll take that into consideration.

Yea. Sorry for saying that in the most convoluted long winded essay imaginable.

no biggie. The input is much appreciated. Now I'm just curoius what Jervin will say.
Hey, that's kinda cool. The driving bass line going on a completely different time signature than the rest of the song is nice. It works well when it's playing one note, and just gets better when it branches out.

And it does sound like it's meant to loop :)

I don't think it's too heavy... except that you're going for more nintendo-era sounds?
gsgraham.comSo, no, zebras are not causing hurricanes.

Yeah I'm going for nintendo era sounds, but only the influence of. So rather than be like everyone else and stay pure, we included the styles that we previously used. I don't mind that it sounds like its meant to loop, but I should probably give it an intro and an ending.
