Does anyone know how to do colored lightmaps (texture blending) in OpenGL? I read lesson 22 of the tutorials and I think it should be done with some of the multitexturing techniques described there but I couldn't get it to work Edited by - mars_888 on January 9, 2001 5:11:40 PM

I eventually had to go down to the cellar.Prosser: That's the display department.Arthur Dent: With a torch.Prosser: The lights had probably gone.Arthur Dent: So had the stairs.Prosser: But you did see the notice, didn't you?Arthur Dent: Oh, yes. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign outside the door saying "Beware of the Leopard." Ever thought of going into advertising?
I think flipcode has something about it.
Using the multitexture extension is just for speed.

Thanks for the replies guys! I''ve had another look around and I got it working now!

I would like to know one more thing however. Can multitexturing be used to mix in a colored texture? So you could for instance use it to render 2 different kind of terrains and maybe supply an alpha map to determine which texture is displayed where on the terrain.
