I was just wondering if its possible to export models from games. If so, how? thanks!
Depends on the game, but in general, NO!

You don't really "export" content from a game, but many games make their resources available to some extent or another to allow modding. Most games package models, sound, art, etc. in large resource files, but some (like Civ 4) have everything totally open in a large folder tree.
Most studios/engines have some sort of obscure/proprietary format for their models. I dont' think its possible to get console game models, but most PC games (any that allow modding, I would think) have some sort of conversion script/utility they normally release, or a community member will develop one.

"I was just wondering if its possible to export models from games. If so, how? " i'm curious as to why you want to know? if you're thinking of using other game art for your game, don't! just wanting to let you know that is illegal even if no profit is to be had.

The game is Call of Duty 2. I was wondering if it's possible to export becuase I was going to use the characters in a short animation. I figured you all (knowing programming and game design) would know how. But, I'll just look at some modding sites and perhaps they will shows ways to do it??

Well, the game's software must be able to read the data files to get the model information - so it's always possible to read it yourself, if you know or can figure out the format of the data.
multiex commander program opens large variety of game files: multiex.xentax.com
but you should find suitable importers for the resources too.
alright, thanks guys
ok... so i downloaded that multiEX commander program and i opened the files for the games. but now how can i take those files and open them in 3d studio max so i can animate them?? plz help! thx
