Ubuntu Samba problem -- add user [SOLVED]
Okay so I got Ubuntu installed.
I have it able to browse the windows shares on my network.
It is sharing a directory of its own.
The computer appears on all windows comps, so all my machines can see the Ubuntu share.
So far so good.
Any attempt to connect leaves me with a user/pass screen. Now when I was setting up samba on the ubuntu machine it never onced asked me for any users to allow for login... So none of the machines can actually login to the ubuntu samba share because it is asking for a user/pass which has not been specified.
Where do I find my samba.conf file and how would I add an appropriate user?
Edit:
smbpasswd -a user_name
