Im at a point where I am trying to track multiple characters, themes, planets, technology and twists. I have it all down on paper, some computer, some tree. Does anyone know any software that can track this all, or rather record it for quick reference if I need it and allow me to edit it quickly? Management software?
If you're looking for something a little more flexible than tree-like organisation, you might want to consider The Literary Machine.

Storyline creation software that is functional for me is Writers Cafe.

http://www.writerscafe.co.uk/

Software costs about US$50 and allows for multiple tracking in a card format of characters, plot, locations etc.

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with that company but bought the product myself after a recommendation from a co-worker in Cambridge on a project.

Tesseraction Games, Oregon.Current production- Enigma: Sink The Hood.
ah thanks guys, appreciate it. I dont really want to spend money right now, I might later if it truly demands it.

The lit. Machine 2000 is interesting, I am playing with it and starting to understand it. However, for now I have found a perfect organizational tool called Keynote, works just fine and is pretty simple.

Anyways, thanks again.

Oopsy, an oversight.

I should have mentioned that there is a free download with limited use available through that site. Recalling, I thnk it allows you three storylines and up to 60 "cards" for dispersal.

this might be kinda primitive, but you can just use word for storyline and excel for characters, planets, and etc.
