I made a model in Milkshape and now I want to show people, so I need to render it. How can I make a good looking render like these? http://www.planethalflife.com/screenshot.asp?src=/images/screensnew/heat_101105_2.jpghttp://www.planethalflife.com/screenshot.asp?src=/images/screensnew/rt6.jpg
Hi,

Surely you could export it into a format yafray can import [grin]
I haven't actually used yafray but it looks like a very powerful renderer.

[edit] I thought yafray was a standalone app, but it appears it is a plugin that can be used with blender. Which means you can definately import and render milkshape models. Here is a quick "getting started" with yafray's global illumination.[/edit]

I usually like to actually load the textured file into a game engine and just take a screenshot. I feel that it gives the most accurate representation of how the model will end up looking when it is done and ready to game into a game. Rendering it with all those nice soft shadows has gotten me into trouble in the past -- "How come it doesn't look that good in-game?" is the inevitable response.

I hope you told them that wasn't your problem! "Talk to the programmers" works, even when something is your fault.
