You are provided with about 10 different statements all with varying levels of arrogance, intimidation, respect -Roster updates/add on packs -More details to fighter style Details such as ring generalship, offense and defense awareness, aggressiveness and composure -P4p ratings-Every fighter rated according to performance and ratings -You should be able to take a knee -Fighters that are in more than one division in the game like Evander, Toney, Gatti, Mosely, and RJJ should look different from in each division-EX: the Holyfield in the Light Heavyweight division should look like he did in the 80's when he was in the Cruiserweight division: beard, hair on his head, smaller, different trunks RATINGS * Power-Determines how hard your overall punches are. This also effects the indivdual punch stats. EX: If Power is 80 and Cross power is 100 then the Cross will do full damage. *Hand Speed-Determines how fast your punches are. *Foot Speed-Determines how fast your footwork is. *Upper body Speed-Determines how fast you can move upperbody. *Defense-Determines how good your defense is. *Body-Determines how well you take it to the body. *Chin-determine if the boxer gets up from a KD. *Durability-determines how much damage you can take before you start to visit the canvas. *Heart-determine if the boxer "gives up" like taking a knee and not getting up, or how hard they fight when they are clearly losing. *Technique-Determines how compact or wide your punches are. *Stamina-determines how long it takes before you get fatigue. EXAMPLES Power stat: Lower than 50 - punches as hard as Cory Spinks 50 - average puncher 60-70 - decent power 80 - good pop in punches can KO with a well timed punch 90-95 - Power punchers like Pacquiao, V. Klitschko, Mayorga, etc. 96-98 - Marciano, Foreman, Tua, etc. 99-100 - "Fists of God" one hit its over, your breakin ribs, jaws, arms, everything. It should be damn near impossible to get either 99 or 100. HIGH CHIN RATING & LOW DURABLE RATING will cause the fighter to go down much quicker then usual but really won't be be hurt. So you'll basically be more accessible to Flash Knockdowns. LOW CHIN RATING;HIGH DURABLE RATING will cause the fighter to be more easier to hurt and be "out on his feet" but he won't fall so easy. He'll be more accessible to stoppages by the ref. GAMEPLAY *Body punches are more effective like in VB. *Boxers with long arms in ineffective in close. *Knockdown/out system should be determine by either fatigue, momentum, angle of punch, power of punch, cumulation of punishment, or all 5 -Better KO records for people that have high power ratings -EA challenges. Boxing Game/Sim Wishlist:
*************************
- There should be at least 178 different stadiums/arenas in which players can choose to fight. These should include several dimensions, and multiple planets. People should be able to box on other planets because the various levels of gravitational field strength would make the game far more interesting.
-A big head mode should be included in the boxing game; this should also affect the crowd- their heads shall be made larger too. Members of the crowd can decided whether or not to use the big-head mutator, not the player.
-The game should include some cavemen. The cavemen can be used to defend the boxers, and the patrons from the inherant dinosaur invasion.
-Players should be able to choose ring modifiers- such as electified ropes. For saftey reasons: These ropes should always be a very loud colour, so that they are easy to spot. It should be made possible for the player to alter the voltage/current of the ropes -using a special control panel located in a yellow dinosaur proof box. You should climb a ladder to get to this box - but there should be an elevator for disabled boxers in wheelchairs to use.
- There should be an optional VTE mode within the game. There should be a BETA of VTE2 in the collectors edition.
- A boxing game should have multiple character classes players can choose from.
-There should be working vending machines
-Players should be able to leave the building
-Quit boxing
-Get another job
-explore any location in the world.
-start a family etc
-The game should include weapons, traditional boxing games tend to lack variation in this department. Players often find themself using their fists to fight- this should be a LAST resort for when you run out of ammo.
- However, it should be unlikely that players run out of ammo. There shold be npc merchants at various places around the arena selling extra bags that allow you to carry more ammo.
- Weapon upgrades that allow the boxers to extend magazine capacity.
- There should be no more than 5 triangles in any given scene, to improve FPS. Infact, the resolutioin should be limited to 8x6 pixels as well.
- Trees and plants should be growing from clay pots distributed around the ring. These may, or may not be distributed by alien crabs before or during the fight.
and depending on which type of alien crab disturb them, when a fighter eats them before, during or after a fight, there will be different effects. Such as time travel.
- Players should be able to form guilds / clans. This should be supported by the game directly. You should be able to design your own guild hat- for members to wear. This should include an array of intersting designs- with an extensive palette of colours & symbols you can use.
- Vehicles should be included in the game. These vehicles should include, apaches, submarines, horses and skateboards.
- There should be weather effects.
- If it does happen to snow- you should be able to build snowmen. If not, you can go to the beach and build sand-castles.
- There should be muiltiple currencies in place whithin the game. The game could also include slavery.
- Players shouldn't be forced into piracy. Some game paths should allow players to play a peaceful role, such as a farmer, or a waitress trainer.
- You should craft your own boxing gloves, a bit like the jedi make their own lightsabers. You need to collect the various components required to craft your gloves. These should be in one place, rather than scattered across several planets.
-There should be a radar in the game, telling you where your opponent is. This can be switched to a sonar, which plays sounds - catering for the deaf players.
- The game should be written entirely in befunge, for portability & easy maintainence
- Insane aliens bioengineered by crazy robot people who study peas
- You should be able to worship the local moocow
- £
- Teh game should include swaying video options, for people who wish to play on ships - or on a laptop: that is resting on a waterbed, with a small child jumping up and down on it.
- Onions should be included
-The game should have black and white mode- for people with black and white TFTs
-Players should have the ability to set booby traps, such as mines - and tripwires. The ropes around the ring can be replaced with devious trip wires.
- Crowbars must be included in the game also
- Police chases!
- You should have like, crossbows. These would be easier to use to defend your base from the flying dinosaurs. Players should have bases you see, where they can protect their religion bathtubs and currencies.
- The glasses used for beverage containment by the crowd, should be made of invisible plastic, rather than glass. This is because it's dangerous to use glass. Well actually, it's not dangerous exactly, but it poses a danger- for example. when the dinosaurs invade the ring, people are highly likely to panic. This usually leads to people mistreating their beverages, and perhaps dropping them. Now then, beverage containment devices constructed out of glass have a low HP and tend to destroy themselves upon being "dropped" This would lead to lots of sharp glass on the floor, which would inflict damage(piercing) to the crowd people!!!!
- You should be able to order pizza in the game, you shouldn't be confined to eating only onions! The pizza should be delivered on time or thereabouts. The pizza will be delivered by the samurai pizza cats.
- There should be opera singers in the spare corners of the ring.
- There should be leagues for different species- the game should support multiple species that can all interbreed and create new species with various traits - players can enter more than one of these leagues providing they meet the requirements.
-Underwater rings shuold be put in place for the fish people. If they need to fight on landbased rings, then there should be vendors selling or renting special devices allowing them to breathe on land. These should be provided to them whilst they are still underwater. However, if financially the fish cannot afford to aquire such a breathing device, there should be a system put in place by the government - which the game includes of course - to pay for the device for the fish. There should be a seperate division which asseses the financial status of fish, and decides how much to contribute to its breathing device.
-The game should be released in various formats- including brail.

Both of you have done the game development community a great public service.

So, because people are frowned upon here for simply posting links to articles and lists such as these without any discussion, you decided to, instead, paste the entire contents of such a list without any discussion?
...I'd be a lot more impressed if you'd created this gargantuan list yourself, and actually cared about any of the things on here. If you can't get excited about your own posts, do you expect anyone else to?
The answer is no. This isn't trying to encourage discussion. It looks as though you've just regurgitated an enormous compiled list of other peoples' ideas here.
Maybe you should take a little more pride in what you post. Though, maybe I shouldn't talk.
Things change.
A large amount of this wishlist is mines.I apologize for not encouraging discussion on my wishlist.I just wanted to know was there any talented game designers, producers, and developers interested in these ideas and is it humanly possible to get all these ideas in a boxing sim with the technology for game making available to us ? Are any of you game developers or in the gaming industry ?

Thing is, noone really wants to spend time reading a massive list of your wishes, especially since some of them are simply a dotpoint item that makes no sense unless you already know what it's supposed to mean.
Just as a random example, the 5th item on your list is "sliders". What the hell does that mean?
Rather than simply regurgitating a massive list, you should pick some of the important points and actually write something about them. Explain the idea behind them, and a bit about how it works (but don't ramble on forever), and maybe ask some questions, or just ask what people think.
What you've posted isn't an idea for a game, it's just a massive list of things that may or may not mean something to readers.

After some work, I figured out that this isn't an attempt to start a discussion, but is in fact an attempt to recruit designers and programmers to MAKE this monstrosity. Thus, I suggest that it be moved to Help Wanted and reformatted to fit the request template parameters.
PD, you need to work harder on your communication skills, and try to express yourself more effectively. This "brain dump" method you use has to go. You've obviously decided (perhaps recklessly) to begin a project that has as its goal a video game so huge, so sophisticated, so all-inclusive that the text descriptions for the in-game controls would probably require a DVD-ROM of their own.
I think this is madness.
However, far be it from me to discourage you. I do advise you, however, to set about this Herculean labor in a more systematic manner. Go to Wavinator's profile, and look at the threads he's started here over the last few years. Then look at his site and his journal. That's how you go about tackling a ridiculous, unreasonable project. He's got a system, and humility, and perseverence, and that gives him a good chance of success. His current status bears almost no resemblance whatsoever to his original vision, and yet he's undeniably made superhuman progress.
Get organized, and you'll be sure to at least learn something. If you just go from forum to forum posting these two ideas in list form, copied and pasted from your zany little board, then you aren't making any progress at all. You're just running around showing everyone the robot statue you made out of Play-Dough and asking them if they would please make you a real robot based on that design, forty feet tall. With lasers.
