Any Sports Games Created?

Has any independent game developer/developers created any sports games? I was just wondering. Id like to look at them, and see whats out there for that type of genre. Whether it is tennis, rugby, golf, hockey, just seeing if it has been done. Demo or finished project is fine.
The Few.. The Proud.. The Marines..
There used to be a volleyball game (unfinished) in the GD Showcase. There was also a guy developing a basketball game in the vein of NBA Live and NBA2K (not a GDNet member), but that project's pretty much dead. There was a guy here from Chicago who was working on a first-person basketball game! Haven't heard anything about him in a while...

For the most part, indie developers seem not to be jocks. If they're into sports at all, it tends to be stuff like martial arts or swimming. The few indie sports games that exist are mostly number-crunching stat-heavy games like Fast Break Basketball and Football Manager. Figures that the nerds would rather be GMs than running backs.

Anyway, I have no right to complain, as I have made zero progress on writing my own sports games. I have some ideas (which I have scaled down significantly to focus first on the core of playing the sport), but I haven't had the equipment to do anything for the last several years.

So, basically, no, I don't know of any sports games by the traditional definition of the term. If you find anything worth playing, be sure to let me know!

Getting slightly off-topic here, even though not a lot of sports games have been created (I myself have little interest in the subject), a good idea that came to me was a MMO Sports Game. One online with a team of real people. This is just a rough idea, and I havn't gone any further with it, but I wouldn't mind participating in something like this if it was under good management.

Ultimate Baseball Online.

I got an email about another one (also baseball, but more of a number-cruncher than a sports sim) a couple days ago. I'll see if I can find the link when I get home.

Disclaimer: I've never played an MMO, and I've never played Ultimate Baseball Online. I make no representation whatsoever as the quality of the gameplay experience or the management. Use at your own risk. No implication of mercantability or fitness for any purpose. YMMV. Etc.
