Adventure Game Development for a New Age
Hey Everyone, Graphical point-and-click 2D adventure games are my favorite of all time. For the last few years I have been working on a suite of tools that would allow people to easilly create and play these games. More than just creating a full featured application for playing and editing these video games I would like to make the process as dynamic as possible. I believe a good design is key to creating a quality software. I have to admit even after working on this project for some time I know very little about programming adventure games. Some of the problems that I am trying to solve are: 1. What should I save to make a world seem persistent? 2. How should I store character dialogue? 3. Is there a way to make the core of the game completely data driven? Thank you in advance.
