Hi! I've checked the tutorial sticky but the links i'm interested in doesn't work, so: I was wondering how to setup the camera so that it renders the object in isometric angle? I'm using blender. Is there a way to type in the position, or do you have to move it around by hand? I'm new to 3d modeling and such shiznit, so if someone could answer I'd be a happy man. :-) Thanks in advance/ barometer
With the camera selected, go to the edit buttons and click the ortho button.

Edit: err, that's orthographic view, for isometric, press numpad 7 in the 3d view, then press numpad 6 3 times then numpad 2 3 times, that should be correct, then add a camera from that angle, it will automatically be pointing towards where you are in the 3d view.

Maybe i'm thick, but I can't get it to work. It seems it doesn't matter from where
*I* view the object, but where that annoying cursor is.

Edit: It works when you press "render this window" at the right side of the menu. But what if I want to render it with the camera?
delete all your camers, now do it again, and add a camera when you ar at the angle you want, I'll post a blend if that doesn't help you.
Hi Barometer,
I have been using this template file that Alltaken made for the Open Transport Tycoon project. You can get it here:

Blender Setup Files

Just put your stuff in so that it looks good in the camera window. It even has an animation setup that will make renders from four different angles. Look around the wiki and forums and you'll see some great examples of it in action.
