Im not sure this is the right forum. This is the first time i have ever made something vaguely decent in blender, so i just wanted to see what people thought. Also, if the amount of faces it uses is ok. It uses: 1041 Verts and 753 faces. I plan to use this model maybe in an FPS, so would that face count be alright for a model that will be close to the screen, players hand that is. Also, aesthetic comments would be very helpful too.

a little simple for that many faces, something like this might work better:

120 vertices, 212 triangles

Nice work, I still remember that feeling the first time I made something decent without a tutorial. Rock on :)

I do agree with jellywerker though, there are far to many faces on that for what it is. Although poly constraints arn't what they use to be, it's still very wise to be as carefull as you can be with them. The extra 500 faces used in that C4 could be spent on a really neat statue, or extra plant life.. Or just helping folks on lower spec machines keep their fps up.
